CIC Graphic Designer (etc.)

ROSIE QUEBRAL HARRIS

I love designing, and I especially love creating for people who are passionate about what they do, and who they do it for. Cory Barrett is a perfect example. (Side shout out: “Thank you for all you do, Cory! And of course, the opportunity to design this website with you.”)

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Cal Poly, Pomona… a Master’s in Transpersonal Psychology with a focus on Art Therapy from Naropa University… and a certification in Culinary Arts with emphasis in “Farm-to-Table” practices from what was formally known as the Culinary School of the Rockies (CSR). I can basically help you with any design needs you may have… provide some pyschotherapy… or cook a kick-ass meal.

You may wonder where the “graphic design” work comes into my day to day these days. To be honest, I left undergrad feeling graphic design was just about selling things… selling someone else’s product, service, idea, etc.. For some reason I belittled the whole concept of it… thinking only of corporate products and projects, and rich business people just wanting to become richer. But as I’ve grown older and met more people with endeavors more meaningful than to take all your money, I realized I can use my graphic design skills to actually help people. Throughout my entire life I have worked on posters for local special events, album covers, book illustrations, business logos and identity development, wedding cards/announcements, and web designs/building. I have done all these things for family, friends, friends of family and friends, and more importantly for people who care about what they do and whom they are doing it for. That is what matters the most to me!

I’ve lived in Boulder County for over 13 years and consider it home. Mostly because it’s where my amazing steadfast husband and crazy puppy English Springer Spaniel help keep me sane.
